Genocide Remembrance Day

Genocide Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November each year, commemorating the armistice signed between the Allies and Germany at the end of World War I at 11 o'clock on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. It is a day of solemn remembrance for those who have fallen in wars, marked by two-minute silences, wreath-laying ceremonies, and the wearing of poppies in many countries.
